There are 4 official CARRET channels on the Zello app, each serving a specific purpose in fire evacuation:

  1. CARRET Open Channel: This channel is open to anyone and serves as a general discussion platform for fire information, mapping, photos, and discussions. Personal fire addresses or phone numbers should NEVER be posted here.
  2. Administration: This channel is dedicated to Carret leaders and decision makers who create and modify CARRET procedures and regulations. If you encounter any problems or have questions, please report them to the Admin.
  3. CARRET Command: This channel serves as the functional and organizational channel for operations. The Command Team dispatches and runs field operations according to procedure, sends out alerts, decides which BOG team to dispatch for specific calls, updates fire log, BOG log. Please refrain from posting photos on the Command channel and keep discussions centered on operations.
  4. CARRET BOG: This channel is exclusively for approved Boots On The Ground (BOGS) team members, including Senior BOGS and apprentice BOGS. This channel is to discuss directions, staging instructions, road closures and visual reports of fire. Please note that this channel is strictly for BOG-related communication.
